Looking Back....

Wow!  I can hardly believe that a week from Monday, my sweet little baby will be a year old.  Everyone always talked about how fast the time goes when you have children, and I never believed them, until I had a child of my own.  Mayson has brought so much joy, happiness, and excitement to our lives.  I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be her mommy.  To watch her change and grow and learn something new everyday is overwhelming (and a bit tiring, lol.)  I can't wait to continue to watch her learn and grow as she gets older, and to experience life thru a childs eyes.  Mayson JoAnn...Mommy and Daddy love you very much and we're so proud to call you our daughter!

Exhaustion is my middle name

I am BEYOND tired.  My dear, sweet baby thought 2:30am sounded like a fun time to be a big ball of energy.  Once we finally got here back to sleep, it was too late for me to go back to bed before I had to go to Cool Beans and cook this morning.  I had a burst of energy for a few hours, then about 11 this morning, tired turned into exhaustion, and didn't look back.

The pumpkin chai I had did make me feel a bit better.  :)

Now, I just need to get thru until her bedtime tonight, so I can pass out!!!!!!!!

5 Generations...

Back in early October, we got together in Monroeville for Jody's great-grandma's 99th birthday celebration.  She is still very much "with it" for her age.  I think it's so amazing that Mayson has a great-great grandma, not many kids can say that.

Dinner Tonight

We are having one of my favorite "styles" of dinner tonight.  Homemade soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.  Tonight is stuffed green pepper soup (Yum!)

Recipe:
1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
1 green pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
1 can diced tomatoes w/ juice
1 46 oz can tomato juice
garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.

After the meat is cooked thru and drained, add the rest of the ingredients and let simmer until vegetables are cooked thru.  About 10 minutes before serving, add instant rice, and let simmer until rice is done.  Dunking of the grilled cheese sandwich is optional.  :)

First....and hopefully not the last

Hey Everyone....

So, here I am, jumping on the blogging bandwagon....yay me?!?!?

Basically I'm going to share things here that I find interesting, amusing, and worthwhile (for what it's worth to me anyway.)

I enjoy cooking, couponing, finding deals, baking (don't claim to be good), boating, sports (football especially) and the occasional beer or 6 (don't judge me.)  Most importantly, I love being a mom and wife, I couldn't ask for a better daughter and husband.

Hope you enjoy, and if you don't, well then, I don't care.
